A full-forward with great ability to kick numerous goals. Kicked bags and
bags of goals in the reserves but luck wasn't always with him in the senior
side and he didn't do quite as well. |

Elevated to the senior side on numerous occasions but shots at goals were
scarce. |

He was unusual in that he was from NSW (North Shore). At
the time he was with us we had 3 players around the same height (a tick over
6ft) and they made up our half forward line. One was Jim Edmond, but I can't
remember the other one. All were good marks for their height and took turns
being the CHF, but were just too short.
Phil went to West Perth after finishing with the Dogs and won their B&F in
1985 and became a bit of a legend for them (I think that was for his off
field activities as well as on field). |
