Footscray

Despite great form in the reserves he found it hard to break into the seniors because the back-pocket spot was being held by Terry Wheeler. In 1979 Don McKenzie gave him a chance and away he went.
Western Bulldogs   1980 wasn't a good year as a heel injury kept him out for all but 4 games.
A very reliable back pocket specialist and one of the best taggers of all time.
He was one of the few players who could curtail Hawthorn's Leigh Matthews and Richmond's Kevin Bartlett. In one match when he beat Matthews he was awarded 'Footballer of the round".
He was captain for 12 rounds when Kelvin Templeton was out injured.

In 1985 he did his cruciate ligament. After 3 knee reconstructions he finally gave it away.
