  He kicked 8 goals on debut against Carlton at Princess Park. In fact his first 3-4 games he got amongst the goals, leading the goal-kicking tally!


John was a true half forward flanker with a beautiful left foot kick (right side of his body was non existent). The Doggies faithful had thought they had picked up a top lined player. Sadly his career did not go much further, the opposition played closer attention to him and we did not protect him well enough, then he struggled to have impact at the highest level.

Western Bulldogs I remember Geelong's Steven Hocking clobbering the back of his head on the members wing at the Whitten Oval in his 2nd or 3rd game. I think he might have been targeted by all opposition teams after round 1 and this may have shook him up.  
     
   I remember spending most of that day in stitches laughing at players like Jon Dorotich totally frustrated trying to stop Georgiades. You know, one of those sort of games when everything goes your way and it becomes almost funny.  
     
   He returned home to Western Australia.
