Footscray

Western Bulldogs He was described as a capable follower, a good kick and very fast. On-field fights were the order of the day and Harry was stranger to the rough stuff. He became Treasurer of the club.

During his playing career there was not the 'Push in the back rule'. in 1880 during a game against Battery United on the Williamstown Market Reserve in 1880 he was pushed in the back by an opposition player.

He careened straight into a three cornered post that split his head wide open by six to eight inches (15 to 21 cms).

He died five years later due to this incident.

He is sadly missed and honoured forever.
