Footscray

A big hearted and courageous player who could take a good mark. At times he would play at centre-half forward as the Bulldogs had a number of good ruckmen.

He was a fair player, too fair as Urban Legend would have it. It was said that coach Bob Rose showed him a fist full of dollars that Round could have if he biffed someone. But he never took the money.
Marking was one of his strengths and he would often take savings marks in defence.

Could play all around the ground and as a ruckman often rested in the forward line where he kicked bags of goals.

I was a good friend with his dad (who was a Bulldog supporter) and managed our trotting syndicate remember Congupna!
