A big hearted and courageous player who could take a good
mark. At times he would play at centre-half forward as the Bulldogs had a
number of good ruckmen. |

He was a fair player, too fair as Urban Legend would
have it. It was said that coach Bob Rose showed him a fist full of dollars
that Round could have if he biffed someone. But he never took the money. |

Marking was one of his strengths and he would often
take savings marks in defence. |

Could play all around the ground and as a ruckman often
rested in the forward line where he kicked bags of goals. |

Wasn't happy to leave the Bulldogs .Went to South
Melbourne in 1976 that later relocated to Sydney. Played for Williamstown
after that. |
