Was originally tied to Carlton but Jim was eager to play
for the Bulldogs and we gladly signed him up. |

He started with fellow West Australian Andrew Purser. |
Jim Sewell with his son Mitchell at East Fremantle. What's
the chance of Mitchell playing for the Bulldogs! |

Western Bulldogs |
|
He started off at full back but his exceptional marking
and agility skills were recognised and he was occasionally placed at
Centre-Half-Forward. Then back to defence to strengthen the side where he
spent most of his career.. |

He could boot the ball accurately a long way. |

|
He was nick-named 'Squirrel', because Doug Hawkins
couldn't say Sewell and it came out like Sirrell, so might as well make it
Squirrel. |
