Came from the same club as Ian Salmon and
Ian Dunstan. He and Traralgon forward Adrian Campbell were among the last
recruits to be signed under the zoning system, joining Footscray on the eve
of the inaugural draft in 1986.
He made his debut in the first round in 1990 and held his spot until
breaking his leg against Carlton on Anzac Day. Two years later he
established himself in the side, playing senior football until he tore his
achilles tendon early in 1996.
