He was born in Port Kembla NSW. He lived in Williamstown. He was a back pocket player who could sometimes play in the centre. In his first Preseason night game at Waverley he got upset when he got the ball (for the first time) and then the siren rang then he threw it like junior having a tantrum.

Wore jumper 45 for his first 21 games. He was a serviceable player without being brilliant. The interstate match, in which he played in the centre brilliantly showed us what he could do if given the chance.

In the back pocket he was the 'ONLY' player to kick Ronnie Burns backside on several occasions at the time where Ronnie was seen to be an accomplished forward that no-one in the league could keep goalless. He was a very good defender in the 97-99 seasons. All the goals he ever kicked for us came from him beating his opponents and then going on a mad dash straight down the corridor where he would kick from 50. His height was a determinate in how his career was shaped, he was too small for Fremantle and they never knew what to do with him, we picked him up and after a semi-introduction season of 96 became a regular in 97 after Simon Cox hurt his lungs (Sydney -2nd game). Gutsy and had as big a bad-mouth as any of the 'Wog Squad' he regularly angered players off their natural games, and that gave us a winning edge.  Twice he was used out of defence and instead as a tagger. Killed one opponent, killed Hocking shortly thereafter (with the bad press and suspension that followed). Never used as tagger again, something he did 'Libba Like' -I do NOT use that term lightly!!!!! I think he had a ding-dong battle with Phil Matera one day

The height issue again surfaced and we traded him for a 'taller' option with the view of making the 'tall' a defender. Although he wasn't as passionate at Freo he did sign preseason draft hoping to come back to us for nothing, after what we did to him that's love for the place.. Considering what we got in that preseason draft we should have come to the party.

A committed Doggie through and through! Have respect for what he did with what he had! Did well and yet another 'Short' defender that was good, but SHORT!

Brad didn't play many more games for us after getting pinched for the squirrel grip, before that he was a good contributor
